About Us
Alabama Gold Star Families is a nonprofit organization formed in 2007 by a group of Alabama families to recognize the sacrifice of Alabamians who have given their lives in defense of their country. We support the families of these brave men and women, and work to memorialize their sacrifice.
We are an IRS recognized Section 501(c)(3) Public Charity, incorporated as a Domestic Non-Profit Corporation in Jefferson County, Alabama. Your contribution to Alabama Gold Star Families is tax-deductible.
Our financial support comes primarily from corporate sponsorship, donations from individuals, and funds raised through charitable events. We hope you will consider making a donation to Alabama Gold Star Families or attending one of our events.
Our next event is the 1st annual "Vettes for Vets" auto show, Sunday, October 12th — a Corvette show unlike any seen in the state of Alabama. We anticipate at least 200 stock, modified, and show Corvettes from around the state to be on display. Planned Activities include a car show with judging by the public, music by Vann Burchfield, a charity raffle, and more.
